This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Just a quick note regarding recent IP edits by myself. This was to correct referencing errors - in several places the referencing given did not match the information cited. For example, the fact she stepped down as a Councillor in Lambeth to care for her daughter is not referenced in the Labour List piece [1] only in her own self-published biography [2]. Reverting the whole edit reinstated incorrect referencing in several places, as well as removing additional archiving. I did also then remove items form the Parliamentary career section which appeared undue. I have reinstated for the sake of accuracy.
