Name? Move?
[edit]I think this player's name is "Sa'u" rather than "Sau". http://tvnz.co.nz/rugby-league-news/kiwis-ready-unleash-new-beast-3091196 Shall I move? LunarLander // talk // 21:56, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Ah one of these names is it? There seems to be plenty of hits for either. Guess it just depends on how the media are feeling that day? Mattlore (talk) 22:17, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, annoying. It seems to be the NZ sources that are including the additional "'", while the Aussie ones miss it out. I assume NZ sources have more experience with "islander" names, maybe? It might be simpler for internal linking to leave the page where it is and redirect the NZ-style spelling to this page. Could spell it with the "'" in the opening sentence.
- Also, His first name is Tafeaga, with Junior being the nickname; do you think this should be in the opening sentence e.g. "Tafeaga "Junior" Sa'u..." or leave as is. LunarLander // talk // 23:04, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, although I recall a case where the NZ media commonly put an ' into someones name only for them to (several years later) work up the courage to say it didn't actually belong there. I think it might have been Iafeta Paleaaesina, though if that is the case wikipedia hasn't yet caught up. For this case it is likely that it is properly "Sa'u" but we don't have a definitive source either way so either is defensible atm. I would definitely change the lead as well btw. Mattlore (talk) 23:43, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- I've changed the lead. I suppose we can wait for a good source, it's not too urgent. LunarLander // talk // 00:27, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
