Constantinople-Istanbul

[edit]

Some users think that it is nesessary sources to prove modern researchers prefer to Istanbul. Anyway this edit is very harmful. Because the city where Karabekir was born in is not explained in the article Constantinople. I also use Constantinople, for example in the article I Corps (Ottoman Empire), but we cannot deny the usage of Istanbul since many academicians use it. Thank you. So why did you change "Constantinople" to "Istanbul" throughout this article? You can't have it both ways - in other articles you have been changing "Turks" to "Ottomans" (like here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Russo-Turkish_War_%281877%E2%80%931878%29&action=historysubmit&diff=399680482&oldid=399634006). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.143.19 (talk) 00:06, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
They are different issue. Both Istanbul and Constantinople are not wrong. We can use Constantinople for Istanbul till 1930. In this case, we must not give link of Constantinople when we white Constantinople in place with Istanbul. It's important. About your second question, Ottoman Army, Ottoman Navy are not Turkish Army, Turkish Navy. Takabeg (talk) 07:16, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
