Fair use rationale for Image:Kamini logo.gif

[edit]

Image:Kamini logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

prestigious?

[edit]

Lol. "le journal" presented by Jean-Pierre Pernaud, "prestigious" is not very... suitable. A lot of people watch it, but "prestigious", really, no, lol. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:8A8D:FE80:D31:F23B:5D4B:C506 (talk) 11:19, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

quotes

[edit]

At User talk:Fourthords#Football and not soccer, Carlo Colussi (talk · contribs) said,

Hello,
Here are the full lyrics of "Marly-Gomont" the song performed by Kamini and the exact term used is "foot" (diminutive of "football"), "football" is the official term used everywhere but in the USA, the federation who held that sport is called Federation of International Football Association (FIFA). "Soccer" is just a local term, nothing else : [copyright-violating material removed] Carlo Colussi (talk) 16:36, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
This article quotes Time, which says, "Instead he raps about cows and tractors and soccer." In accordance with our principle of minimal change, we should not change the words of a source we're quoting. Your two edits ([1] & [2]) have misquoted the source. You have now, on Wikipedia's behalf, put different words into the mouth of Lev Grossman and said they're his. Do you understand why we don't do that? (You also reverted the {{use dmy dates}} template update without explanation.) — Fourthords | =Λ= | 17:03, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
IAW my reply above, I've reverted your misquoting of Time. However, I doubt the quote is really necessary, so I've also rephrased it to avoid any MOS errors altogether. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 19:21, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, OK now I understand : it shows that sources should be cleverly chosen. Time Magazine is a USA magazine whereas Kamini is French, is living in France and talks and sings in French. It would have been better in that case to use a French source.Carlo Colussi (talk) 17:07, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
