reference to this Ken Johnson in Houston's major league prospectus in 1965; and was he also on I've Got A Secret (TV program)
[edit]This was probably in the now-defunct Philadelphia Bulletin, in the annual summary of each major league team's prospects; it's pretty much an exact quote:
"Ken Johnson lost a no-hitter, so you know how much hitting support the Houston pitchers get."
Here on Wikipedia, we see that "lost a no-hitter" could mean having the no-hitter broken up before it could complete. So we say that this Ken Johnson pitched a no-hitter in a game he lost.
I THINK I recall he was also on I've Got A Secret. That would also be about pitching a no-hitter and losing the game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 20:45, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, Mr. Johnson was on I’ve got a secret. He was also a deacon at First Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, FL. I grew up across the street from his family. His daughter was two years older than me. I remember during baseball season Mr. Johnson would have two or three TV’s set up in the family room watching baseball games at one time! Also, during Spring Training Mr. Hank Aaron came over to visit him. (Atlanta Braves spring training was in WPB at the time). 2602:306:CCA2:97B0:30BF:ACC:A939:DBD3 (talk) 19:32, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
