[edit]Ken appears to be credible but I'm not sure about the timing of his modified Hubbert model. He is straight lining a projection to running out of oil in the first half of this century, when in fact it will have a "long tail" to actual depletion. During this long tail phase energy costs will continue to rise making everything more expensive and wealth diminish.(206.174.14.91)
- I would be surprised if he doesnt take that into account. Most learned commentators know that we wont ever "run out" of oil literally, only in terms of cost of extraction growing greater than the value of the product, even at inflated prices.(mercurywoodrose)76.232.9.104 (talk) 18:08, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
