Infobox[edit]

All of the changes I reverted on the infobox were based on the Template:Infobox nrhp which gives examples for each section of the box. For instance, for "location" it says: "location — City in which NRHP is located. Example format — Independence, California." It doesn't say we have to list the NRHP boundaries for the district (I think it clutters the infobox anyway plus the NRHP descriptions are often unclear as they are in this case). The same is true for the "governing body." Rather than simply list the general terms used in the NRHP listing, the infobox asks for specifics: "governing_body — Body that owns/operates the NRHP or its site. Example format — governing_body = National Park Service." For this article, "local" is the City of Kent via the Department of Recreation while the remainder is Private (like the old silk mill and the train depot). There were a few others like "map caption" and "area" that also were spelled out in the infobox parameters so not sure why they were removed. I removed "built" because 1851 is an arbitrary date from NRHP. The district was not built in 1851; only one contributing structure (the old silk mill) was. It has several contributing structures, the earliest of which, the P & O lock and dam, was built ca. 1836. I have requested the actual forms so that will hopefully answer more questions about the specifics of the district and what is actually included as there are "ruins" of an even older mill (the Kent Mill) inside the district as well. --JonRidinger (talk) 17:15, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
