[edit]the arms trial refs are incorrect should be alledged plot to smuggle arms all were cleared in the subsequent trials
shouldn't there be some change to "...Charles Haughey and Neil Blaney were sacked from the government for (alledgedly) gun-running for the Provisional IRA in May 1970" - more info should be provided? and is it correct, and fully informative of what was happening at the time? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Donn300 (talk • contribs) 10:05, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Ceased to be a member of Dáil Éireann in November 1970?
[edit]Is this so? The text of the article makes no specific reference to it; it mentions him storming back to County Dublin "to make hay" but then implies that Jack Lynch calmed him down and talked him out of it. We could do with something concrete on it. Harfarhs (talk) 14:00, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- I found elsewhere in Wikipedia the relevant by-election (2 December 1970) which is a start, but I shall try to find a source or two about that period in his political life to help fill the current hole in the article. Harfarhs (talk) 16:29, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
