Name Change
[edit]Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but could it be possible to get the name of this article changed to "KeyHoleTV" so it would match the other languages' pages?--「Ethan94」 (talk) 02:06, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Never mind, I found the move button. Gonna fill out the report now.--「Ethan94」 (talk) 03:58, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Alleged MIC relation
[edit]I removed the following part from the introduction: KeyHoleTV is part of a project by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications testing out peer-to-peer technology.[1] I think this is an unverified claim. Reasons are as follows:
- no proper reference. The reasoning in that blog entry (comments section) goes like this: "Keyhole is developed by CRL, Inc. CRL has got a contract with the Japanese MIC in 2003 concerning P2P technology. Therefore KeyHoleTV is a government project." Isn't this a bit like claiming that Winny was a government sponsored software because its author worked at the University of Tokyo?
- no plausibility. Certainly the Japanese government would not officially endorse a software which might breach copyright (at least that is how the content mafia would see it).
Find a reference where someone from the MIA or CRL explicitly confirms this relation between Keyhole and MIC, please. -- 77.184.34.238 (talk) 14:25, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
