I have created the article and added whatever references available online. The Editors must note that the local region suffers from wp:BIAS due to less coverage of local news on the internet as compared to Print media. Most of the news regarding the place come in Print media (newspapers) in and other offline sources that too in the local language Hindi so its not easy to provide many online references for verification. Nice job on the article but in its current state it serves to promote tourism at the reservoir. The section on tourism should be cut down significantly. Explaining what is sport is and that there is instructors is not necessary and too detailed for an article on a damn. Also, words like "beautiful" and "enjoy" need to used carefully as they imply bias. I will help clean it up.--NortyNort (Holla) 17:27, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks Norty for giving a helping hand. I agree about removing words like beautiful etc but to me an altogether removal of the adventure sport sub-section seems a bit too harsh. My sole intention is to develop this article and to give real information about the place, i myself have been to this place and so i can assure you that the information is correct and not a Promotion. I would request you to suggest what all things can be included, without crossing the lines as i obviously dont want my time spent in elaborating the article being wasted. Thanks-- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 17:48, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • ALso please note that the place is a popular tourist spot and i have provided several refs for its Notability-- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 17:50, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • No problem. Having a section on tourism at a dam is okay but elaborating on the events (i.e. how it is done, instructors, etc.) is too much information. The article is intended to be encyclopedic and not a travel guide. If a reader is interested in boating, rock-climbing or kayaking, they can click on the link and read about it at that respective article. If they would like the visit the area and enjoy such activities, they will find there way. When you include such information in the article, it is advertising the area to a reader. Whether instructors or there or whether kids can do the event is irrelevant to the subject at hand, the dam and its reservoir. I left the overall "jist" of the tourism information in the article to give a reader that such activities occur there and that so many people travel there for me. See the 'Tourism' section at Hoover Dam, a featured article. It is short and give encyclopedic info. I don't doubt whether the information is wrong or not, I just don't think much of it belongs in the article.--NortyNort (Holla) 15:33, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • ok, I think it would be good to add another para (or subsection)about the adventure sports without going into details of the sport, or should i start another article "Khandoli" that would include all such information(hill, tourism, Lake, village) ,. Another point is about the pictures. I could not find any free image so for the time-being added pictures of kayaking/paragliding. I guess one of them can be added -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 17:00, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well, if the dam and its reservoir area is a big adventure sport spot, you could make an adventure-sport sub-section under tourism. Along the lines of "The reservoir is a popular spot for adventure sports such as ...,...,... Kayaking occurs above and below the reservoir while rock-climbing in the surrounding cliffs. People travel from many areas of India to partake in the activities." I don't know how many pictures you can stick in a small section like that though. I think a sub-section like that would be encyclopedic w/o giving too much detail and giving the impression that the article is a website for the adventure sport part of the reservoir.--NortyNort (Holla) 18:53, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • ok, I have improved the adventure sports section and tried my best to keep the information encyclopaedic. Althogh a lot of references are available (below) i have used only a couple of them to prevent ref overkill, besides using ref for each and every line will make the para unreadable. By the way can you suggest a wiki link for ringo ride, i tried but could not find a suitable page -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 23:29, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • yup you are right, the Tubing article is exactly what i was looking for (never knew Tubing is the term for it). by way the google search for Ringo Ride was giving the correct result what i wanted but not wikipedia.-- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 03:20, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
