Khaw has not commented on lightning strike.. yet
[edit]An SMRT train was reported to have been struck by lightning on 20 November 2017 while travelling towards Bedok station due to a torrential downpour. The train stalled on the tracks which caused delays along the EWL and the train driver had to be hospitalised at Changi General Hospital.[1] The incident raised concerns of train safety among commuters once again, given the slate of unfortunate events happening recently.[2] Khaw has not responded or spoken publicly on this issue.[3] The train operater clarified the next day that it was the trackside equipment that was struck by lightning, and not the train itself.[4] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.212.223.3 (talk) 08:04, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
