[edit]

RE "anti-Jewish riots (Pogromy) broke out in Elizabethgrad (April 27, 28), Kiev (May 8-11), Shpola (May 9), Ananiev (May 9), Wasilkov (May 10)," That text is not related to the 1905 pogrom in any way. It is from the Jewish Encylopedia article on Alexander III. The events took place in 1881!. Check here: http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?letter=A&artid=1132

[edit]

Text from Herman Rosenthal Jewish Encyclopedia is about 1881 pogroms, not a 1905 one.D.Albionov (talk) 00:57, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

This article, and other Kyiv pogroms like it, should be renamed to Kyiv pogrom (year). I could see the argument for historical names being used, but if the Bialystok pogrom uses the modern Polish name instead of the historical Russian one, then it should either be renamed to Belostok pogrom or other pogroms need to be renamed to reflect modern names of cities/towns. Yes, they should. 67.187.146.225 (talk) 01:36, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
