Kisoro runway designation

[edit]

The satellite images show 18 and 36 painted on the runway ends. Until they repaint them with different numbers, 18/36 is the designation of the runway. If anyone can come up with an official published source saying otherwise, and dated later than the 2015 CNES/Astrium image, please drop a message in here and we'll fix it.

Kisoro Coordinates

[edit]

The coordinates listed on the Uganda CAA Kisoro page (00°44′00″S 29°42′00″E) are way off.
Google Maps:
https://www.google.com/maps/@-0.73557,29.70109,9448m/data=!3m1!1e3
OpenStreetMap:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=-0.733333&mlon=29.7&zoom=14#map=14/-0.7333/29.7000
The runway in the maps is Savannah Airstrip, a gateway into Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Compare bad UCAA coords with Kisoro town coords:
00°44′00″S 29°42′00″E - bad airport coords
01°17′06″S 29°41′06″E - Kisoro town coords
01°17′00″S 29°43′10″E - good airport coords

Otherwise, previous revision was good update.
