Logo Help
[edit]Hey all, I'm having real trouble understanding the requirements for uploading the logo for LAB Records. I can't get my head around the tags needed and such. The logo can be found here... [1]. The logo is not copyrighted, and the 3 asterisks aren't trademarked so I would assume a lo-res version would be acceptable?
Requested move
[edit]Lab records → LAB Records — Account under 4 days old. Created page with incorrect business/brand capitalization. Nathen McVittie (talk) 20:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Assuming the label is even notable, it should be at "Lab Records". Unless "LAB" is an acronym, then it would violate WP:MOSTM. TJ Spyke 21:35, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- "LAB" could argued as an unofficial acronym, (although it is now no longer in use) the company originated using "Life's A Beatch" and thus got shortened to just "LAB". Also "LAB" itself is a trademark of the company. Nathen McVittie (talk) 23:26, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- If that's true, then you have my Conditional Support. Note however that there are more serious issues with this article that should be taken care of. Third party references should be the absolute top priority (and reliable references! MySpace, for example, is generally not an appropriate reference to use), which will additionally settle the naming issue once and for all once added (based on WP:COMMONNAME).

- Working on references now. Added one just now, and digging up others. Hard to come by for an indie label as most of them appear in print as opposed to online.Nathen McVittie (talk) 11:30, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Can someone advise on what else needs to be added for a move to LAB Records? No other online references/interviews exist that we are aware of.Nathen McVittie (talk) 23:40, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- References on Wikipedia do not need to be online, they simply need to be verifiable. As a matter of fact, probably half of all references cited in Wikipedia are not online... If you have print sources, please add them. Good job so far adding the online references, regardless. You should feel free to remove the tags at the top, as I'll vouch for the fact that you've meet the burden that those messages ask for.

Request to Merge
[edit]I recommend merging this page with LAB Records because there is just one single blue-linked album page to navigate to from this list and too many red-links. Thus there is not much reason for this "discography" to exist. Also it satisfies few (if any) requirements in the WP:DISCOGS project. Doomsdayer520 (Talk|Contribs) 09:56, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- Understand about the single blue-linked page, but how does it not satisfy any of the WP:DISCOGS project requirements? An explanation would be appreciated. Nathen McVittie (talk) 14:34, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Well Played
[edit]Glad to see someone developed my original page, much improved.
