Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • *'''Support''' As the title of a periodical (whether trademarked or not), a normal user would expect capitalization to reflect that used on the masthead. It would also follow practice used in most, perhaps all other such titles in Wikipedia, as Sydney Morning Herald, Brisbane Courier.--Doug butler (talk) 22:23, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment the article seems to say that for most of its existence it was called "Labour Daily" ? 70.29.210.155 (talk) 04:53, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

Any additional comments:
  • Comment Use of Sentence case (as "Labor daily") is fairly standard (but by no means universal) cataloguing practice in libraries, as can be seen in the NLA reference, from where this instance no doubt originated.--Doug butler (talk) 13:46, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Will Mahony[edit]

I think someone has confused Ted Maloney/Moloney who was involved with the Chesty Bond cartoons with Will Mahony.

Well spotted. Will Mahony was a son of Frank P. Mahony and had an eventful career. He now has a modest mention in that article. Doug butler (talk) 08:22, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
