[edit]That's fair enough, but be aware that some 90% of Lafarge's activities are outside France. . . LinguisticDemographer 18:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
History
[edit]There is an amazing lacuna in the account of the company's history. Apparently nothing happened between 1864 and 1980! In particular, there is no mention of its invention of aluminous cement, its enormous contribution to the Nazi war effort, and its extension into French colonies in Africa, etc. At least a translation of the French article would do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.120.194.82 (talk) 07:31, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
Redirection and disambiguation
[edit]There are now so many different Lafarge/LaFarge/La Farge -related pages on Wikipedia that it seemed past time to link them all through a single disambiguation page with the simplest spelling (Lafarge). I noticed that this strategy is already in place on Wikipedia.fr, the home country of Lafarge company, for which this was previously the landing page. So there is no very strong argument that I can see for keeping the cement company on this page, especially when there are so many other Lafarge-related searches possible on Wikipedia. And especially given the many different spellings of this name in the United States.Alafarge (talk) 18:16, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
Hillary Clinton Connection
[edit]Hillary Clinton was on the board of Lafarge. There have been suggestions that she may have used her influence later on to help the company. You should address this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.95.174.225 (talk) 18:47, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
