Is school district info correct
[edit]I thought that DISD's boundary line ran through a portion of the area generally refred to as "Lake highlands" - does this need to be checked? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.247.191.88 (talk) 15:43, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Lake Highlands Area Association map is Wrong
[edit]Note that the map on <http://www.lhaia.org/> represents the former boundaries of membership in LHAIA which did not include all of Lake Highlands. Some homeowners organizations did not participate in LHAIA when the map was created, but if you visit the list of HOAs on <http://www.lhaia.org/oprganizations/index.php> these other neighborhoods are listed, such as Whispering Hills (off Whispering Hills Road, crosss Walnut Street). I noticed someone edited-out schools that were added based upon these maps promulgated by LHAIA, but if we define Lake Highlands as "area of Dallas served by RISD" then clearly these areas are included. Eventually, LHAIA may update their maps... but don't hold your breath their still advertise "upcoming" events from over a year ago! This is a very important area of Dallas.. I'm suprised there aren't any pictures, bigger lists.. better education, parks and transportation sections/lists and a history section. Needs verifiable boundaries and the rest of its content verified + a reference section. There's a great neighborhood association with good information under external links. drumguy8800 C T 09:49, 3 November 2006 (UTC) |
