Bogus size ranking claims (removed)
[edit]The first sentence currently says: "Lake Pend Oreille is a lake in northern Idaho, with an area of 148 square miles (2nd largest in the Western US)."
What about: Utah Lake (151 sq mi), Pyramid Lake (188 sq mi), Lake Tahoe (192 sq mi), and Flathead Lake (191.5 sq mi)? And there are others, these are just the first few I found. Pfly 02:37, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

The claim of "thirteenth deepest in the world" is a direct contradiction to the "list of lakes by depth" article. [1] 2008-07-30 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.171.34.61 (talk) 12:12, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

1969 National Boy Scout Jamboree
[edit]Farragut State Park on the lake was also site of the National Boy Scout Jamboree in July, 1969, at the same time that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. Frank Borman came to the Jamboree soon thereafter and played a video recording of the event for all 40,000 or so Scouts to see. Neil Armstrong also greeted the Scouts at the Jamboree on the way to the moon, being a former Scout himself. 2603:8000:7000:D3B9:841:CF3F:695F:EC6F (talk) 00:47, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
