Much additional information should be added to this page. The NY Times belated obituary gives details about his earlier life as a refugee from Nazi Germany because of his Jewish background. see:

Non-specific achievements such as "Many composers throughout the world have requested that Mr. Varga give the first performance of their works," should be clarified or eliminated for vagueness. Nei1 (talk) 09:13, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
