spelling

I reinstated British English spellings as the article is about a European Topic and the original creator of the article use BrE. Note that metres/meters are spelling differences not spelling mistakes. --Brideshead 19:22, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

This article needs to be restored to international spellings, as pointed out above. - There is no US connection to justify US spellings.

That is British English spelling, not international spelling; Europe is not a British province or colony and the language of France is French, not English, so an article about things French does not have to be subject to the rules of British English. However, if the original author wrote it using British spellings, then that should determine the spellings for the article. —Stephen (talk) 21:13, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
