NPOV
[edit]I think this article is neutral Why has it been flagged as not being?Lilymaielang 11:22, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- Probably because the article's primary author is clearly associated with the topic - being "the translator for the orchestra" - and thus may not have a neutral viewpoint. This is not a criticism of you personally, just a Wikipedia policy, and possibly {{autobiography}} should have been used instead of {{npov}}. User:Smappy, who added the NPOV flag, may care to comment. Mitch Ames (talk) 13:36, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- Requesting a comment on the neutrality of the article might be a good way to have others verify its neutrality. Mitch Ames (talk) 13:40, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Do you think it is neutral? I've also added sources.Lilymaielang 19:03, 13 February 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilymaielang (talk • contribs)
- It's not really about the number of sources—as Mitch said, the simple fact of your affiliation with the orchestra makes the article's neutrality questioned. Sources are always a good thing (by the way, please add inline citations: see WP:REF), but neutrality refers to how the author phrases his sentences, or, in this case, how closely he's related to the article's subject. Basically, it boils down to only putting out the raw facts almost like an automaton.
