Typical form of the diagram[edit]

"Calendar time is represented on the horizontal axis, while age is represented on the vertical axis. It is traditional for the y-axis to be plotted backwards, with age 0 at the top of the page and increasing downwards."

I'm not sure that this is necessarily true. A quick google image search on "lexis diagram" yields all manner of representations. I would suggest that the comment above is qualified so as to make clear that all manner of other configurations may be used. I will try to make a quick diagram to add to the page, also.Jimjamjak (talk) 12:38, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
