What's happening at Leyland Trucks now
[edit]This whole section reads a a corporate pr. It has no references to back up the claims made. And the addition odf it above the company history is suspect, in the Un encyclopedic nature of this addition.
The later section with the CV like descriptions of KEY People and again unreferenced. In my opinion is also of little encyclopedic value, and again looks like its copied PR stuff, with no reference. As i'm not sure which policy to apply regarding it (other than unreferenced at this time) I will ask for other editors to review it.
Also images look like Corporate publicity / concept sketches. Is this article being re written by Paccar ? or connected editors were WP:COI may be an issue. -- BulldozerD11 (talk) 01:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have deleted the section on Key People as it reads as though it is a CV for the people involved, by all means mention their names but all of the CV stuff is not for this article which is about the company not the individuals involved in it. If you want to put this type of information create articles for them and link from this article. Obviously those article would have to meet our policies on notability verifiability etc. Keith D (talk) 22:44, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- For the record, The images in question above have now had a official confirmation of Public domain status attached to them on the image page so issue resolved. And references have been added to the text. so most of my concerns are addressed, but the wording of the entries is a bit PR like still, so a copy edit may be in order if I find time. thanks Keith D for looking into the issue - BulldozerD11 (talk) 01:16, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Timeline needs some attention
[edit]Some of the more recent entries, in particular, are verging on promotional language. ("Another industry leading move", for example, reads like an advert.) 86.154.9.50 (talk) 00:27, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
