Can someone rectify this? Lil Wayne is definately not a rapper. Because he sucks dick. 130.88.186.26 (talk) 14:00, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Aside from the upcoming Rebirth, most of the music done by Lil Wayne has been rap. That aside, the article does state under genres, "hip hop" and "rock". RebirthThom 14:19, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

vocoder
in the music section, he never uses a vocoder. you people need to get it right. he uses AUTO-TUNE, pitch correction software. Similar to melodyne or Logic's Pitch correction plug in, it is NOt in any way shape or form like a vocoder —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregpadden (talk • contribs) 01:31, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yet Auto-Tune is described as an implementation of the phase vocoder algorithm....hmmmm. Xot (talk) 01:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Lyrics Wiki
I set up a mediawiki to annotate and illustrate Lil Wayne lyrics. I invite you to contribute. This project is not directly affiliated with Wikipedia but I believe it will evolve into a uesful resource for Lil Wayne fans. Here's the link: http://www.weezylyrics.com Mike Wilt (talk) 06:13, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Most of his if not all lyrics can be found at http://www.lilwaynesite.com. Thats the official fan site for lil wayne fans. I know theres alot of places to fins his lyrics but this is the best because it actually has the song to go along with the lyrics so its the best of both worlds for any lil wayne fan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.147.53.58 (talk) 21:18, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Interview with Katie Couric
Katie Couric interviewed Wayne on Wednesday night's Grammy special on CBS television. The interview contains some good info to expand the section on Wayne's early life. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 00:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC) "Good info"sometimes can't be substantiated. We only have Wayne's word to go on.Smokiewight (talk) 06:57, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Please include this in introductory paragraph for Lil Wayne

Issue with Television section
There are two sentences in the Television section that refer to his appearance on Around the Horn. Both are cited, and both have key elements. If someone wants to combine the two citations into one sentence, it would be more effective. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hawkdude56 (talk • contribs) 00:55, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Put this on lil waynes main page plz.
i think that him winning grammy's should go on main page because he should be noted for that so...
He won a grammy for best rap song lollipop, best solo performance for amilli, best rap performance by a duo or group for swagga like us, and best rap album for carter 3. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.177.205.118 (talk) 22:17, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Future Work Section and Rebirth Section Need Updates
In a very recent article (2/19/2009) from MTV: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1605400/20090219/lil_wayne.jhtml ; There are 2 new pieces of information: Wayne's rock album Rebirth now has a set date for May 19, 2009. Wayne has also reiterated that Tha Carter IV will be released in 2009 before the holidays and he is also working on a Hot Boys Reunion LP and Young Money Entertainment LP.
Quote FTA: "In addition to Rebirth, Wayne is still working on Tha Carter IV, the Hot Boys reunion LP and an album featuring all the artists on his Young Money label, including Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Kid Kid and Nicki Minaj."
Please make these changes ASAP.

Yeah man, Dwayne only has one daughter and one son, there definately is NOT two daughters, so that REALLY needs to be changed, cause it should have been changed by now. That would be great y'all. ^-stephaanie (talk) 23:01, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

How Can I Edit the Discography Section of the Page???
I know of a few more official mixtapes that he released that have not been added to the "Discography" section. I would like to edit that information and add them. Thanks-ThisIsThaCarterThisIsThaCarter (talk) 02:35, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
The "Drought Is Over" Mixtape Series? I have finally got a hold of all the official copies of the "The Drought Is Over" mixtape series hosted by The Empire and Lil Wayne. Can I have permission to put them under the mixtape section and create a new page for each of them. I have the correct track listing and song titles. I also have the original artwork for it. I can also post reviews from websites for some of them. DroKIDCASH (talk) 01:13, 14 April 2009 (UTC) DroKIDCASH

Nicknames (list)
most people that are familiar with Lil Wayne know that in his songs (and there are a lot of them) he refers to himself as a number of nicknames, such as: Weezy, Best Rapper Alive, Birdman Junior, Young Money, Young Money Millionaire, Weezy F. Baby, The Carter, ect.
I think a section listing his many nicknames is needed here.

- It's an interview. It's reliable no matter what site uploads the video. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 16:38, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. YouTube is not a reliable source, and videos from youtube cannot be used as sources.—Kww(talk) 16:44, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Honestly what's the difference if YouTube or MTV uploads a video. It's still the ARTIST themselves saying the information. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 17:03, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- You can trust MTV not to doctor the video and audio to misrepresent the interview. The same cannot be said about anonymous YouTube posters.—Kww(talk) 03:23, 29 March 2009 (UTC)and he likes boys.
- If I may - I do not think it is an issue - and I think no matter what site uploads it it's the interview that counts. It is like saying a documentary posted on youtube is not a documentary at all. I honestly don't see the conflict in this argument.Babylonian Armor (talk) 14:04, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Exactly ... a documentary posted by an anonymous uploader on YouTube can't be treated as a documentary at all. There needs to be credibility and reliablity in the publishing chain, or the source isn't reliable.—Kww(talk) 14:22, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
