Category vs List article[edit]

So... is this page needed if there already is a Category:Chevrolet vehicles? SpikeJones 02:48, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better question: why aren't there any pre-'50s cars or trucks on it? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 03:42, 8 February

The Chevrolet Advance Design trucks are pre-'50s trucks. ----DanTD (talk) 23:26, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Revamp[edit]

Just to let everyone know, I'm going to revamp the List of Chevrolet vehicles.

Advance Design[edit]

The Chevrolet Advance Design was made in the late '40s to the mid '50s and I'm still editing the List of Chevrolet vehicles page. I'm going to be editing for a while, so there will be things that are unfinished. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.216.108.102 (talk) 01:32, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing[edit]

Trucks[edit]

This list has a glaring error, in reference to the C-10, C-20, and C-30 types of trucks. The list has A-10, A-20, C-10, C-20, D-10, D-20, K-20, and K-20. All of these link straight to the "Chevrolet C/K" article. All of these pairs are given as though the -10 was an earlier model and the -20 was a later model. This is incorrect, as the C-10, C-15, C-20, and C-30 were all produced simultaneously, having different load-carrying capacities, and similarly for the K- series. The list should be modified to combine both C- models into one entry titled "C-10/15/20/30" or something similar. The entry should also have a description saying "light duty pickup" immediately before the date. Incidentally, more of the entries here need similar descriptions, because most do not have descriptions, and those that do have them are often incredibly vague ones, like "car" or "subcompact" or "law enforcement". A more accurate description like "luxury 4-door sedan" would be more appropriate. On a somewhat related side note, where are all the larger chevy trucks? The "Chevrolet C/K" article mentions in passing the Viking 40/50/60 and Spartan 70/80/90, but these trucks do not seem to appear on Wikipedia at all. Can someone at least start a stub, with a pic and specs from their own large Chevy? The reason I'm putting this long rambling in the talk page is because I'm not very familiar with editing Wikipedia, so I'd prefer if someone more capable did the changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.195.56.135 (talk) 16:48, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't even know that there was Chevrolet C-10/C-20/C-30 models thats apart of the Chevrolet C/K series. The Chevrolet A-10/A-20/C-10/C-20/D-10/D-20 models I was making reference to were the Brazilian versions, I'll change that. Second of all, the Chevrolet C/K article says in the sentence before telling about the "Viking" or "Spartan" it says "Actual badging on trucks still carried the series name system from the previous generation." That means that even though its badged as a "Viking", or "Spartan", they were still a Chevrolet C/Ks. Third of all, I didn't think I would need accurate descriptions about the cars, because take the Chevrolet Beauville for example, it was made as a van and as a station wagon, I only added the "(station wagon)" and "(van)" bit just to distinguish the two. If one was made at the same time as the other and both were cars, then I would put a more detailed description. I only put short descriptions to distinguish cars from each other. I don't think detailed descriptions are necessary, as its only a list of the vehicles, not a description of them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.216.73.249 (talk) 02:48, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Region info[edit]

I think this article should have information about the location for the primary market for the different models. This could be done by redividing the lists by region/country or by creating a table. I think that a sortable table would be much more useful. Nyth83 (talk) 21:32, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Below is an example of what I have in mind: Nyth83 (talk) 02:09, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Model Name Production years Class Assembly Market
Agile 2009-present Subcompact Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina Argentina, Brazil
Aveo 2002-present Subcompact Nizhny Novgorod Worldwide
Camaro 1967-2002, 2010-p Sport Oshawa, Ontario, Canada North America
Caprice 1999-present Full-size Elizabeth, South Australia Middle East
I am working on a table in my sand box if anyone wants to look. User:Nyth83/sandbox Nyth83 (talk) 20:23, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions to Chevrolet Series D[edit]

I have made some notes on the talk page for the Series D and am attempting to solicit input there with this post.

Vehicles available in North America (United States) confusion[edit]

Great list! One thing that I was looking for (and maybe you could clear it up) is when certain vehicles were available in the United States. For example, the Chevrolet Spark is listed as Year Introduced = 1998, but wasn't available for sale in the United States until 2013. Is there a way you can clarify this? Thanks!

What's up with the past models table?[edit]

Are we going to put everything into the table? Or are we keeping both the table and list? I'm confused because there are models on both the table and list. I'm assuming we want to eventually replace the list with the table here, so if there is no objection I will start removing models which are already included in the table from the list.
