Low points?
[edit]It would be great if this article included the list of administrative divisions by their lowest point as well. A request for expansion for anyone who knows how to get the geographic information and cares to add to the article. --Yuje 04:22, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- I tried to make that at one point, but the info proved too hard to come by, at least from online sources... -- ran (talk) 15:32, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Inclusion of Taiwan
[edit]Since "Taiwan" has been added and removed from this article, as well as related articles, it would be good if we could get consensus as to its inclusion or exclusion. It seems to me that it is reasonable to include it as long as there are clear disclaimers that it is governed by the ROC and not the PRC. This is in the spirit of neutrality for a disputed territory, and it also seems reasonable that anyone wanting to know this data for provinces of the PRC would likely also be interested to know the same data for Taiwan for comparison purposes. I know that this information is certainly of interest to me. As long as there are clear disclaimers, I don't think it seems political or confusing to include Taiwan. What do others think? - Indeed, a disclaimer would clear it all. Only the most militant, Sinophobic, pan-Green partisans and their neocon sympathisers in the West would differ but their opinion should be considered both criminal and extreme. CaradhrasAiguo (leave language) 16:17, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
- CA - while I have issue with Wikipedia's rather biased treatment of China, accusing others of crimes, treason, etc. is never going to be an effective strategy to affect change. I'd suggest you should probably tone that back and concentrate on pushing article content away from the hegemonic British / American POV and toward neutrality rather than attacking editors who disagree with you. - Agree with the above comments. It is reasonable to include the so called "Taiwan Province" with a note stating the fact the claimed territory is administered by the Republic of China, so that readers can understand the actual administration and won't be deceived by propaganda. --Jabo-er (talk) 16:14, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
