Upcoming characters

[edit]

To appear in April.

  • Yumeji Kotoyo: A new frequenter of the Cafe Mal Damour, picking fights with Otoya in,spite of claiming to be a pacifist. He also seems to know Jiro's true nature.
  • Sou Kotoyo: A complete opposite to her big brother, Sou's nice to only Otoya.
  • Lord Kiva: A mysterious being Otoya encounters 22 years ago, able to liberate a Fangire's fullpower at will. Lord Kiva is the reason the Fangire Hunters of present day are wary of Kiva, who is a extact deadringer of Lord Kiva.

Furthermore, four mysterious Fangires will be appearing: Knight, Rook, King, and Queen. Rook is the first of them to appear, being the one who murdered Yuri's mother. Fractyl (talk) 04:23, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minor characters

[edit]

I don't think that Kengo or Shizuka should be in the same category as the others. I'm adding a new section called "Minor Characters" Theelk801 (talk) 21:26, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's a category for characters found in each separate timeline. There are those who are solely in the year 2008, those solely in the year 1986, and those who exist in both years. These are the demarcations used on Toei's website for Kiva in the cast list section (2008 side, 1986 side, and "No side").—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:20, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mio

[edit]

It was never implied that Mio was "more than she appears to be". The Fangire's reaction to her ("this girl...") could have been about anything. We just don't know yet, and I think that statement is unnecessary at this point until some kind of concrete evidence surfaces. 216.236.163.21 (talk) 01:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dark Kiva

[edit]

A character Dark Kiva section should be left alone and cannot be deleted for a while

Negabandit86 (talk) 01:44, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Because his existence is not supported by any magazine articles.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:00, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Techically, his existence is somewhat seen in the picture of 1986's King with Maya(their was kana to ID him as King). Plus, #34 revealed that Taiga is the heir of Dark Kiva as King of the Fangires, while Wataru is heir to the powers of Kiva. But this will all be settled in two weeks' time. Fractyl (talk) 02:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
He is not being added anywhere until the character (King/Dark Kiva/Dāku Kiba) appears in a full magazine scan.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Profile

[edit]

For the main page

"Dark Kiva (闇のキバ, Yami no Kiba): The original Kiva who is the Fangires' original King of the Checkmate Four, partnered with Kivat-bat the 2nd (キバットバットII世, Kibattobatto Nisei) and wields the Imperial Blade." Fractyl (talk) 02:44, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yu Takahashi

[edit]

There are two people called Yu Takahashi: one is a female model and the other is a male musician. The one link under Aso Yuri is redirecting, wrongly, to the musician's article. There is no article about the female actress and model in English, only in Japanese. Raelxx (talk) 03:02, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Garuru or Galulu?

[edit]

I've seen the name for this character translated both ways, however I'm wondering if an offical romaization exists? I know it sounds like "R" but there's always the confusion in the japanese language between L and R (I.e. the mario bro., Luigi's name being pronounced "Ruigi") I know that Toei has made a character named "Garurumon" in the past, and the name is based on the "onomatopoeia for the sound of a growl". So what exactly are you basing the spelling of the name on? 76.166.147.43 (talk) 12:37, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Previously protrayed...

[edit]

Listing who actors have previously portrayed in other works is just unsourced trivia. There is no sources or context for why it's relevant to Kamen Rider. James J. Lambden why are you insisting on keeping it? — Strongjam (talk) 22:05, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I have been trying to fix a lot of these character pages lately are because the "previously portrayed" bits that have been added to them. These bits are trivia, and should be avoided per WP:TRIVIA. It is a violation of WP:OR and WP:SYN to post them on there because it has nothing to do with the pages. In addition, they did not have any sources, and the information can just be found on the particular actors' pages. Also, Whoops, I didn't see your section and made a new one right under it. Sorry about that, Strongjam! OuendanL (talk) 22:58, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Is the issue the lack of sourcing that's easily corrected. @OuendanL: I don't think it's trivia, the editor who added it didn't think it was trivia. If consensus is that it's trivia I'll abide that but so far, only one non-banned editor above agrees with you. James J. Lambden (talk) 23:23, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
They are trivia because it does not matter to people who read this page (or any of the other ones) that an actor in this show was in another similar show, particularly when their role in this new show has no relation to the old one. For example: the fact that Rina Koike was Sailor Luna in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (live-action series) has no bearing on her role as Shizuka Nomura in Kamen Rider Kiva, unless there is an interview somewhere that says she was chosen for Kiva because she was in PGSM. It's a violation of WP:SYN (and also it's completely irrelevant) to say Koike played Luna on the Kiva page. If people want to know what other shows an actor was in, they can check the actor's Wikipedia page, and if there's no English (or any other language) page, one should be made.
