A whale of a problem (sorry, I couldn't resist)

State fossil is listed in the source, but is not on the page. The fossil was adopted by concurrent senate resolution,[1] but is not statutory.[2] The state stone falls into the same grey zone of being listed by the state, but not being statutory. I'm adding state fossil to the list but am open to ideas on how to manage the list. BiologicalMe (talk) 16:21, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As of today, Mississippi has two new state symbols...
STATE FRUIT: blueberry
STATE GEMSTONE: Mississippi Opal
