Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

This list was part of a section at the Moorish architecture article. For a longer explanation of why it was transferred here, see Talk:Moorish architecture. (Short version: that article was getting too large and this is a list that would likely be of interest to many readers on its own.) Here are some initial notes and recommendations for future improvement:
The current title is what seemed easiest at the moment, so feel free to suggest alternatives.
Moorish architectural remains in Spain/Portugal vary enormously in their state of preservation: some are relatively whole buildings, some are only partly preserved, some are incorporated into later buildings, and some are archeological sites. The inclusion criteria are intended to reflect this. The intention is not to include present-day buildings that are merely located on the site of former Moorish monuments; actual material remains are what matters.
Any sites/monuments that do not have their own (properly-sourced) linked article should be accompanied by references that verify their relevance to this list. References for the others wouldn't hurt either, of course.
The reasons for including monuments of Spain and Portugal together here, rather than in separate country-specific articles: 1) Muslim rule extended over both present-day Spain and Portugal, so Moorish remains are found in both countries and readers interested in the topic are likely interested in sites regardless of what side of the border they're on; 2) There are (to my knowledge) far fewer relevant sites in Portugal, so it seems pointless to have a separate list article for just a few items. (If the list grows a lot, maybe that would change of course.)
Although I think an overall geographic organization is most useful by default, it would be good to convert this list into a table format in the future, so that readers could also order the list by period or other criteria. A table would also make it easier to include clear additional notes and references.
