Recognition of the Norwegian resistance movements

[edit]

The current link for the recognition of the Norwegian resistance appears not to contain direct evidence, but I think this does need some examination as Yad Veshem doesn't usually recognize organizations collectively.

I did find a reference to this occurring in: 'The Righteous: The Unsung Heroes of the Holocaust' (978-080506260) by Martin Gilbert on p. 255. Gilbert in turn references 'Justice In Jerusalem' by Gideon Hausner (p. 256) for Hausner's public thanks to the Norwegian Resistance. Gilbert also notes that in 1997 Yad Veshem recognized the Norwegian Resistance members collectively and cites 'Righteous Among the Nations Archive: File 616a'

If I can get the text of this file from the archive, I'll update the link on the public page. If someone knows more about this, please update it in the meantime. 73.66.34.212 (talk) 18:36, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
