Apologies if I don't get this in the right place, I think I did a few minutes ago, putting it in Wikidata. --

I'm not editing the official page of List of Presidents of the University of Houston–Victoria at this time because I have not found any exact sources to cite yet. The page of the official Univeristy of Houston System of presidents of University of Houston-Victoria mispells the first president as "Taylor" when his name was "Traylor". I met him several times. He was in fact a mathematical topologist, D. Reginald Traylor, the same person listed as editor or author of this book of proceedings:

These proceedings I admit don't prove this the same person who was "Chancellor" of UHV, but I will correct this when/if I can find some sources to cite, if someone doesn't beat me to it! It actually needs to be changed on the UH page as well. If I recall correctly, Traylor actually served less that 5 years, and after his resignation there was an interim person by the name of Dr. George Taulbee (spelling?). (Whom I met once or twice.) He may not of been considered "official" enough to be listed, I don't know, but he sat in the office. (I'm leaving out some personal opinion.)

I've no argument with the need for citation to change the official page, and that it does look bad with UH's official page misspelling his name, but perhaps having this post will be a step towards correcting the records on this. Delegan2 (talk) 10:29, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
