Merger with Ambassadors for Syria[edit]

I really think that merger was inappropriate, Syria used to be a stand-alone post (until August 1999)^[1], as such there are a whole bunch of resident ambassadors to Syria who were not ambassadors to Egypt (listed below):

John McCarthy (Chargé d'affaires 1977–1978)
Neil Truscott (1978–1981)
D.G. Wilson (1981–1984)
R.A. Burns (1984–1987)
R.J. Spurr (1987–1988)
J.E. Rawson (Chargé d'affaires 1988–1990)
Victoria Owen (1990–1992)
Paul Robilliard (1992–1996)
Jim Dollimore (1996–1998)^[2]
Janet Gardiner (1998–1999)^[3]

These people should not be listed on the Ambassadors to Egypt page when they were never ambassadors to Egypt, right?
