Hello. The article reads that census subdivision that comprises at least 10 percent of the CMA or CA population are listed in parentheses. However some have been added that have far less than 10 percent. Vaughan and Markham in the Toronto, Longueuil in Montreal, and Burnaby in Vancouver all have much less than 10 percent and should not have been added. Delete all census subdivisions in parentheses as it is WP:OR, specifically WP:SYNTH. What reliable sources publish CMA/CA population share breakdowns by census subdivision? None I have seen. Hwy43 (talk) 02:57, 20 June 2019 (UTC)

I don't see how it would be original research to list other major cities in a CMA, there's nothing wrong with including incomplete lists of well cited information. I do agree that the inclusion criteria could be revisited, or the table could be better modified to indicate that the "minor" cities have no official status as such. BLAIXX 11:40, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
picture of ottawa
The picture used to portray Ottawa did not fit in with the other pictures, as it was not a skyline but simply a picture of the parliament. I edited the page to include a wiki commons panorama of Ottawa but it is not a great picture. The images in this article do not have to "fit in" with each other in the sense of all being of the same type — they most certainly are allowed to depict a scene that's iconically representative of the city, such as an important signature building, instead of having to necessarily always be a panoramic skyline image. We can't link to offsite images — to be used in this article, an image has to be hosted on Wikipedia. And we also can't freely upload just any image you can find in a web search, either: we can only upload photos that are licensed under Creative Commons, GFDL or public domain (e.g. original photos that you can prove you took yourself with your own camera), and cannot upload or use images that are under any other preexisting copyrights. I agree, as the Edmonton CMA is virtually identical in population to the Ottawa CMA and Calgary CMA that Edmonton should have a picture as well. In fact it is currently larger than the Ottawa CMA.
The recent addition of the Edmonton photo associated with the above post is much too dark. I have replaced it with a new photo featuring Edmonton’s new Walterdale Bridge.
