Errors in article

Hello. The article reads that census subdivision that comprises at least 10 percent of the CMA or CA population are listed in parentheses. However some have been added that have far less than 10 percent. Vaughan and Markham in the Toronto, Longueuil in Montreal, and Burnaby in Vancouver all have much less than 10 percent and should not have been added. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.92.70.188 (talk) 03:43, 5 December 2018 (UTC)

Agreed, unless we want to revisit the 10% idea, these should be removed. 162.208.171.22 (talk) 17:33, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Delete all census subdivisions in parentheses as it is WP:OR, specifically WP:SYNTH. What reliable sources publish CMA/CA population share breakdowns by census subdivision? None I have seen. Hwy43 (talk) 02:57, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Agreed that we should delete those. I've advocated for this before, at least 4,753 times at last count, but have never been able to muster up anybody's attention to it. Bearcat (talk) 03:08, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
I don't see how it would be original research to list other major cities in a CMA, there's nothing wrong with including incomplete lists of well cited information. I do agree that the inclusion criteria could be revisited, or the table could be better modified to indicate that the "minor" cities have no official status as such. BLAIXX 11:40, 20 June 2019 (UTC)

picture of ottawa

The picture used to portray Ottawa did not fit in with the other pictures, as it was not a skyline but simply a picture of the parliament. I edited the page to include a wiki commons panorama of Ottawa but it is not a great picture. Is there another Ottawa skyline picture somewhere that can be uploaded for this purpose? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scoutguy5427 (talkcontribs) 19:28, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

The images in this article do not have to "fit in" with each other in the sense of all being of the same type — they most certainly are allowed to depict a scene that's iconically representative of the city, such as an important signature building, instead of having to necessarily always be a panoramic skyline image. Semi-protected edit request - Picture of Edmonton 27 July 2019

Edmonton should have a skyline picture posted on the right hand side of the board like Ottawa, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto have.

So find one we can use. Bearcat (talk) 22:28, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
I believe this will suffice
We can't link to offsite images — to be used in this article, an image has to be hosted on Wikipedia. And we also can't freely upload just any image you can find in a web search, either: we can only upload photos that are licensed under Creative Commons, GFDL or public domain (e.g. original photos that you can prove you took yourself with your own camera), and cannot upload or use images that are under any other preexisting copyrights. Try again. Bearcat (talk) 22:47, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

Could this picture of Edmonton be added to the right hand side of the board like Ottawa, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto

I agree, as the Edmonton CMA is virtually identical in population to the Ottawa CMA and Calgary CMA that Edmonton should have a picture as well. In fact it is currently larger than the Ottawa CMA.

I would propose this photo of Downtown Edmonton (my own work.) https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:EdmontonDowntownFromVictoriaSchool.jpg

File:Https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:EdmontonDowntownFromVictoriaSchool.jpg

Is that a no then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.106.6.41 (talk) 22:10, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

I would think that doing that is appropriate. You should go ahead. Zacharycmango (talk) 03:41, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Zacharycmango

Edmonton photo

The recent addition of the Edmonton photo associated with the above post is much too dark. I have replaced it with a new photo featuring Edmonton’s new Walterdale Bridge.

@Awmcphee: please see my request on Wikipedia at File talk:Edmonton Skyline from 106 Street Lookout 2019.jpg to create a cropped version with a better aspect ratio for the purposes of this article in comparison to the other skyline photos. Hwy43 (talk) 04:08, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

I am requesting the Unicorn Crest of Elizabeth of Britain be removed from ALL information relating to Canada and the Canadian Territories. It was proven in 1980 upon incorporation of The North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association that The Principal Federal Officer and Constitutional Monarch is Principal Robert Sten Nett of the Canadian/U.S. Stoney People, Heir of the Throne of England and Principal Officer if Parliament under the Lion and Dragon Crest of the Royal House of Stewart and later verified upon receipt of the Silver Lake Trust of England located in the Canadian Territories. Elizabeth of Britain IS NOT the Constitutional Monarch. You can verify the NORTH AMERICAN WILDLIFE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATION creation I'm 1980, which verified Principal Robert Sten Nett as the Principal Federal Officer and Constitutional Monarch of the entire North American Continent.  Not done I'm glad you're enjoying Canada's legalized marijuana. You might want to avoid toking while editing Wikipedia, however. Bearcat (talk) 15:04, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
