Column deletion

[edit]

I have deleted the "winning team" column, I don't think it added much to the list and it will be much easier to update without it, it also makes it look a lot cleaner. Mr.Apples2010 (talk) 18:26, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not absolutely clear that the"date" given is the day on which the match in which the century scored was begun, and not even the day the century itself was either begun or completed. This confuses - for example in 1955 the only century scored on 7 July was Compton's, though four were scored in the match as a whole (I saw two of them, Winslow's (spectacular and completed with a six off Alec Bedser, playing his last England game, over the Stretford end sight-sctreen) and Waite's, on the Saturdsy) and even now I have to check that Compton actually played in the match at all, though he seems almost to have forgotten to turn up - he didn't even bring his bat. All the same, with five-day matches, exact dates should matter.86.173.37.209 (talk) 21:16, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
