[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because I have much more valuable information to put on this article, such as the Employment Count by Major Industry Sector, which I am currently working on. It is based on this government website: http://www.bls.gov/emp/ep_table_201.htm#3 Moreover, the information I have already put on this wiki article isn't available on any other wiki page..... Employment by sector table

[edit]

Just as a heads up, "Private service-providing" and everything under it is shifted one level too far to the right. Cg2916 (talk) 22:55, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Error: lists #59 twice

[edit]

Spot #59 is assigned to both Best Buy and Convergys. They do both have the same number of employees listed (125,000), but so do others (e.g. 4 are listed as 100,000). RScott13 (talk) 12:31, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Moot since list was cut to top 25 shortly after the above comment.. We still have one instance of companies with the same number of employees on the list, and thy are given sequential numbers (Cognizant Technology Solutions and UnitedHealth Group with 260,000 employees at nos. 17 and 18.) What about larger employers of US employees?

[edit]

That's what the headline suggests this page should contain, but it reports worldwide employees. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaxGhenis (talkcontribs) 22:25, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes this article as it currently stands is strange and misleading at best. For example, it includes Deloitte on the list, which is a UK-based company, and the number of employees listed there appears to be all global Deloitte employees. Would be interested in hearing other thoughts, I will try to do some research myself and figure out what to do here. JEN9841 (talk) 01:34, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Similarly Yum China is a Chinese fast food restaurant company that operate's Yum! Foods brands in mainland china. It is incorporated in the US but probably has an extremely small percentage of employees in the US (mostly administration). This article should be renamed or rewritten to be less misleading. Deloitte and Ernst and Young are both headquartered in London — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:602:9C01:32EC:21D6:9728:28E:395E (talk) 06:25, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DHL

[edit]

DHL is a German company and is based in Germany. Should it be listed here? DMCer 18:14, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
