Close paraphrasing

[edit]

Parts of this article contain close paraphrasing or copying from the site, http://www.allfreeessays.com/, specifically, their essay on Indian rivers. Though these essays are free for person use, they are copyrighted and should not be used without citing and paraphrasing. Intelligentsium 22:31, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The page seems to state major rivers of India whereas it even did not mention the names the rivers like Ganges (the longest in the Indian Territory) and Yamuna (flowing through the national capital of the country and a major tributory of Ganga) at all. The Article also lacked the entire 'Ganga-ka-Maidan' region along with its other tributaries and R. Hughli of West Bengal.

It is really surprising that Ganges and its tributaries are missed. I will add something soon. Aupmanyav (talk) 12:52, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Both AllFreeEssays and GKToday appear to be copied from Wikipedia, as inspection of the first reveals tell-tale "[1]" marks, and "[edit]" within the text; the latter is clearly dated, and comparison with the article history just before the published date reveals the same information. For that reason, I don't believe that the article is a close paraphrasing, and will remove the tag. If there are further concerns, add it back in.
