Misleading population figures

Well, certainly something must be done since in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_Thailand_by_population population of Bangkok is given as 5,705,061 for Oct2008. However in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangkok population of Bangkok is given as 9,100,000 for Jan2010 so is it almost doubled in 15 months?

The population figures given here are very misleading. Khorat, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai and Udon Thani all have close to a million people. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 08:31, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
