List of schools accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and CanadaList of accredited theological schools in the United States and Canada – This just seems more simple for a title. Is there another association that accredits theological schools in the United States and Canada? Ἀλήθεια 13:24, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that will work. Several other recognized accreditors accredit theological schools in the U.S, at least. Higher education accreditation in the United States has more on this. While there is certainly overlap (most ATS accredited schools that are part of larger universities seem to be regionally accredited, too) and ATS might be the premier theology accreditor, but some schools are only regionally accredited or are accredited by one of the other religious accreditors. • Oppose. As Novaseminary has explained, this organization is NOT the only accreditor of theological schools in the U.S. and Canada. --Orlady (talk) 02:58, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to keep article from being quite so outdated[edit]

I propose culling the info about each school on this list to those items unlikely to change significantly year-to-year or quarter-to-quarter when ATS puts out new member institution statistics. I would include the name of each school, its year of accreditation, and its maybe location. I would remove the presidents, number of students, and number of faculty. If people want that info, they can click on the provided reference and get it from ATS. The utility in this list is that it links through to the WP article for each school. Otherwise it is just copying what ATS already puts out. Novaseminary (talk) 00:13, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I don't really like this idea. I think the information is useful, (or at least interesting), and lists become outdated on Wikipedia all the time - see, in a different context, WP:OUTDATED. StAnselm (talk) 00:45, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The info (but updated) would still be but one click away. Why duplicate the PDF? Lots of interesting information isn't included here. This info just gums up the list. Novaseminary (talk) 01:17, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't purely a duplication - for one thing, it's sortable. StAnselm (talk) 01:47, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If it is so useful, interesting, and not duplicative, want to update it? Novaseminary (talk) 01:49, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm inclined to agree with you -- if feels like unnecessary information that changes too often to be realistic here. I just spent almost an hour updating that info and only made it to the Ds. I just don't see this being very sustainable. Mrboiledegg (talk) 23:57, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Updated the As Bs and Cs[edit]

I updated this list all through the As, Bs, and Cs. Didn't have time to go any further, I hope to work on this more later. For schools that remain accredited I only updated the students and faculty sections of the table and didn't fact check the Head of School sections -- I can do that later, or someone else can if they'd like. Cheers! Mrboiledegg (talk) 23:55, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
