Splitting of the article into regions
[edit]The other day I suggested, when this list was part of the list for the whole UK, that the England section should be further subdivided into the widely recognised regions as the list is still very huge, and as yet still rather incomplete. So a full list would be massive, even if spli into regions.
The regions I suggest are:
- Yorkshire and the Humber
- London
- North West
- North East
- West Midlands
- East Midlands
- South West
- South East
- East
I have made an example page at [List of Schools in Yorkshire and the Humber] where I have split the schools up into an alphabetical list by LEA. I have then tried to add all the schools I could find within one LEA (Barsnley) to suggest a possible format for including schools. First I have two sections: 'state schools' and 'independent school'. Within each section we can then further divide schools into nursery, primary, middle, secondary, further education colleges, which ever are relevent for a particluar LEA. I also sugest merging the [Middle Schools in England] article into the main schools list if my suggested format is used. Evil Eye 12:49, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Infant/Junior schools
[edit]Primary schools incorporate both of these but it doesn't seem to be the convention to have headings for either of them...do they just go under primary? Yohan euan o4 21:17, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
LEAs
[edit]I have split again by LEA which has made everything more manageable. The BBC have lists of primary and secondary schools If anyone Is looking to improve these articles Francium12 (talk) 15:05, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
