Manchester, South Junction and Altrincham Railway was the correct title for the line which put an end to "Little Ireland". It should not require a citation, but a reference to the Wikipedia article on the MSJ & A might come in handy as the chronology of construction given in it is more precise, and also suggests a later date for the end of "Little Ireland" itself. The "South Junction" was a line rather than a "junction", to which the MSJ & A was a branch, and survives. Oxford Road station was part of both, but it is no longer possible to travel the length of the Altrincham line from it - the tramway has taken over.Delahays (talk) 14:41, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
- There are numerous Little Irelands across the Uk, where tens of thousands of Irish settled. This article should not just concentrate on Manchester. Coatbridge, Cleator Moor, Jarrow etc, all have an equal claim. 31.94.34.29 (talk) 23:24, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
