What is a log jam?
[edit]The article describes a "Log Jam" in its entirety as:
an accumulation of large wood that can span an entire stream or river channel.
Then the only body text lists its effects. I still don't know what a log jam is, but it sounds like a man-made bridge. Is it artificial or natural? If it's artificial, what is the process of creating one? If it's natural how does the wood end up in the river, and what tidal/flow constraints cause it to remain stationary? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.242.137.210 (talk) 14:46, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
