[edit]I have a strong suspicion there are two different Luises Delaporte with overlapping timelines and interests. I have no time to dig into this today. Yceren Loq (talk) 00:39, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- There is a mention of some Louis Delaporte, possibly this one, at Pha That Luang. Source cited says its reconstruction in 1930 "is based on the detailed drawings from the late 1860s by the talented French architect and explorer Louis Delaporte." [1] Sharktopus talk 23:20, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Two different people named Louis Delaporte
[edit]This article is about the explorer of Southeast Asia, prolific artist, and enthusiast for Khmer art Louis Delaporte (1842–1925).
There was also an overlapping Louis Delaporte (1874–1944), who studied ancient Hittites and Phoenicians, but in his spare time also wrote a few essays about contemporary French authors, etc. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Delaporte%2C+Louis%2C+1874-1944%22
This other Louis Delaporte may or may not deserve his own article, but books written by him should not be included on the list of works in this article. Sharktopus talk 23:28, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed this myself, see the previous talk, but I forgot to split the bibliography. Yceren Loq (talk) 21:56, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
