Dates and Louis who?[edit]

There are various differing statements in the article regarding the start of his reign:

in the lede: "Louis ruled from March 880 to 5 August 882"

infobox: "10 April 879"

in the article body: "In September 879, Louis and his brother, Carloman, were crowned"

Which one is it?

This also makes me wonder which Louis exactly it was who was defeated by the vikings:

"On 2 February 880, Louis was defeated by the Viking Great Heathen Army at the Battle of Lüneburg Heath."

The article on the Battle of Lüneburg Heath says that it was an entirely different Louis, i.e. Louis the Younger? Nakonana (talk) 22:58, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
