Goal of the organization

[edit]

It would be nice to have the specific goal of the organization stated. For example, if their goal is to raise money for cancer research or treatment, they're not taking an efficient approach. Reviewing their 990 posted to Guidestar, they spent about $3/4 of their $400K budget on concerts, and apparently contributed $0 towards cancer treatment or research. If, on the other hand, their goal is to get people signed-up as donors, that information should be added, along with the results. It would seem they are gaining a lot of visibility, but for what exactly? Just to remind people that Cancer is a problem?

To the lay-person, it would seem possible that this foundation is set up just to have fun concerts in fun places and to do so in the name of curing cancer, but is it just lip-service? Its admirable that some musicians want to do something with their money that is helpful, but it would be nice to see what accountability they have for the hundreds of thousands of dollars that is donated to them.
