Marty Casey & Lovehammers, officially known as "Lovehammers".
This is the band of the decade, in my opinion the best in 3 decades!
Lovehammers are making noise in the Rock Music scene.
The band is from Chicago, IL.
The Band Memebers:
MARTY CASEY - VOCALS
BILLY SAWILCHIK - GUITARS
DINO KOURELIS - BASS
BOBBY KOURELIS - DRUMS
Casey and the Kourelis brothers have known each other since they were kids playing t-ball in the southwest Chicago suburb of Hickory Hills. They started playing together in junior high and went through a number of guitarists over the years. The lineup was solidified with the addition of Billy Sawilchik in 2002.
Excerts from the Lovehammers bio:
Marty Casey was named runner-up on the hit television show Rock Star INXS, there was no doubt he was already a rock star.
Anyone who has seen Casey and his band Lovehammers perform over the last five years (or heard any of their four self-released albums) already knew that. INXS knew it as well, and they invited Casey & Lovehammers to join them on their upcoming switched tour.
Lovehammers albums have sold more than 25,000 copies without a label or distributor, and their sweaty, electrifying performances have made them one of the Windy City's most popular live bands. They recently amassed a few million new fans thanks to Casey's remarkable run on Rock Star.
The Lovehammers write songs that grab you with a loud crunchy guitar riff, surging melodies and Casey's powerful and emotive voice.
The roster of producers who have lined up to work with the Lovehammers is proof that they're ready for their close up. "Straight As An Arrow" was recorded by Chicago legend Steve Albini (Nirvana), with Marty Frederickson (Aerosmith, Mick Jagger) and Johnny K (Staind, Disturbed) manning the mixing board on additional tracks.
As the band heads toward the next level of its career, Casey promises the show onstage will match their offstage antics. They're already looking into ways to make their stage show more memorable. They may have achieved success on a level most bands can only dream of, but they're not going to rest. "We don't want it to be just four guys on stage with instruments," Marty says. "We're going to keep working our asses off. This is just the beginning!"

Rock on,

A dedicated fan. "I will stay true"

[edit]Have to agree with Lisa. This band is great. Straight-up rock and roll. They are a must-hear for any true fan of rock. And they are amazing in concert. Super high energy, great vocals and a very talented band. Their new album, Marty Casey & Lovehammers, is a must have.

Proposed Move and Redirect
[edit]It is my understanding that the official band name is "Lovehammers", without the "The". Therefore, I propose moving this page to simply "Lovehammers" and having this one as the redirect. --Kathryn NicDhàna 00:09, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Page Overhaul
[edit]This page was long overdue for an expansion, update and general overhaul, so that's what i did. It's a little messy, so i'll return to it to work out the kinks over time. Grave architecture 12:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
MARTY LEAVES BAND
[edit]Can someone else please update the LH wikipedia to reflect Marty's departure. I just can't seem to bring myself to do it, and even if i did i don't know how unbiased i could really be.Grave architecture (talk) 20:20, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
He's still in the band....
[edit]Marty is still in Lovehammers, he just also sings for L.A. Guns now, but he is still a member of Lovehammers.
Btw, I added a member section to this page...but I didn't add past members because I don't have much info on that.Kuro Banpaia (talk) 04:08, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Related Groups
[edit]I noticed L.A. Guns was removed from related groups and INXS remained. Considering that Marty Casey was the singer for L.A. Guns (even going as far as writing and recording material with the group that remains unreleased) and that he was only on a show audition for INXS (but never actually becoming singer for the group), I believe INXS should be removed also.
I acknowledge that L.A. Guns at the time were considering changing their name before releasing the new material and that Casey has a song credit on Switch however this doesnt make Lovehammers directly associated with the group and neither does a tour with the band -- HrZ (talk) 11:31, 3 March 2010 (UTC)—
