Notability

[edit]

I replaced the notability tag removed by the author of the article because, while there are sources, it still might be a case of dubious notability. Since it seemed borderline to me, I didn't think it was appropriate for the author of the article to remove the tag without adding anything to the article. Sorry about that, but the fact that this happened in the 19th century seemed to make it notable. This is still a work in progress. --Auric (talk) 02:19, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite sure if I follow about it being notable because it happened in the 19th century. I do understand it is a work in progress and the tag can stay up while you work on the article. No worries. Movingboxes (talk) 02:27, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the notability template as substantial work has been done to the article and it now appears to meet notability criteria. Multiple references as well as secondary works (books and songs) pertaining to the subject are now included in the article. ponyo (talk) 18:28, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional?

[edit]

Lucy Lightfoot is entirely fictional and was made up by the vicar of St.Olaves in the 1960s, which he subsequently admitted. The pamphlet he wrote is still on sale there, but it is not true. Why vicars would want to tell porkies about the nature of the Universe is a question which the Faithful may wish to ponder.--Streona (talk) 08:36, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, this article should be removed or rewritten to show that she is a fictional character. And Lucy Lightfoot should be removed from the list of Disappeared People.Bokononist (talk) 00:57, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide a source for this claim? --Auric (talk) 00:02, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
http://books.google.ie/books?id=UM4LUoSbyegC&pg=PA28&lpg=PA28&ots=_-sLMUIl6. I added the citation. Perhaps the "Fictional" aspect could be stressed more. -Bokononist (talk) 16:14, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
