Requested move

[edit]

This move request is part of a merge process that I already began, using this page as a basis instead of the other because it has more content (and hence more history entries) than the main article Lupin III (anime). The merger was already proposed by another user though he wanted to merge all the main pages about the anime, leaving the episodes list aside. I think this is unfeasible because the infoboxes would clutter the page, leaving little actual content. The same goes for Lupin III Part III and List of Lupin III Part III episodes and Shin Lupin III and List of Lupin III Part II episodes. Piccolo Modificatore Laborioso (talk)

Pages remerged to make more sense. Please leave the part II pages alone for now Dandy Sephy (talk) 16:02, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator noteSince this is not properly a move request, but really a merge request, and the merge has already been completed, I have removed this request from WP:Requested moves. If you feel there has been an error, please contact me on my talk page. Cheers,--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 08:33, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Airdates

[edit]

I seem to have conflicting data regarding the air dates for this series. The 40th Anniversary Anime History book by Futabasha states the last episode was broadcast on November 6 on it's list of dates. The individual episode listings do not include air dates for each ep.

I have another book, that I've not worked out the publisher for which dates every individual episode of the first two series in the detailed sections for each episode. The third series doesn't get this per episode coverage but lists the series ending on December 25. The third book is by Kinema Junpo and gives per episode air dates for the entire franchise upto 1998 and also says December 25.

Normally I would simply go with the two books versus the one book, but when that 1 book is published by the company that publishes the manga as well as the official magazine I wonder if there are other sources which will agree with it.

I've also seen sources give September 29. Dandy Sephy (talk) 19:50, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know other versions of Wikipedia can't be used as sources, but the Japanese Wikipedia says the "放送期間" (broadcast period) was from 1984年3月3日 - 1985年12月25日 (March 3, 1983 and December 25, 1985). However, on the list of episodes it said the last one aired on November 6, but there is a note indicating that Nippon Television broadcast it on December 25. The TMS site gives December 25 as the last day of broadcast. It's a quite confusing to me since I'm a layman on the series. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 18:38, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's quite handy. I didn't think to check TMS's site because generally Japanese companies don't bother with such important information, especially for older works, so TMS are bucking the trend. I found lots more examples of December being used, but nothing that was RS. It's not the only confusing thing for the anime, Plot of the Fuma Clan is considered an OVA by many sources but appears to have been shown in theatres 4 months before it's home release. A confusion that is compounded by the official Lupin site listing it as an OVA but still noting it's theatrical date coming first. Dandy Sephy (talk) 00:19, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
