POV[edit]

Article is biased. Whoever wrote this obviously doesn't care for John Corabi. Facts need to be stated in a non-biased manner. Darwin's Bulldog 09:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-write[edit]

I'm in the process of completely rewritting this article, to flush it out with details about the band's era with John Corabi. I've already added many details, but this process is going to take a little time, I'm hoping to have the article completely revamped within the next week or so. WP:ALBUMA Assessment[edit]

Very nice article. I've set it to B-class, which is the highest WP:ALBUMA can automatically give without discussion. You should try to push it to GA standard. My only comment is that it reads a little bit too informally, so it feels like I'm reading a good magazine article rather than a concise, informative encyclopedia article. Some examples of the phrases I think are too informal:

  • Neil and Sixx had a falling out that led to Neil quitting the band (or being fired, depending on the source)
  • Not thinking much of it, Corabi left his number and continued with his responsibilities with The Scream.
  • …but told him to keep quiet about it…

Once it has been brought to standard, see WP:GAN for a good-article assessment. Alex valavanis 08:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Mötley Crüe.jpg[edit]

Image:Mötley Crüe.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:04, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

style[edit]

Heavy metal?! Are you kidding? That's trying of sound modernization in mid-90s.--Greutungen (talk) 07:25, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This album is almost 100% Metal. Most of the riffs are composed in Heavy Metal style, Power Chords with palm muted notes in between. That is what musically defines Metal from Hard Rock.96.51.21.229 (talk) 20:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Album name[edit]

Wasn't this album called "Motley Crue" (without the umlauts)?Alvabass (talk) 00:33, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Album cover[edit]

I bought a copy of this album in 1994 when it first came out. The name of the album on the cover is red (without umlauts). Donnie Love (talk) 20:25, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
