Máiría vs. Mairia

[edit]

Máiría is used by her own twitter account (@mairiac31), Irish Times, RTE, UTV and BBC. Snappy (talk) 18:58, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should the article be at "Máiría" (with fadas) or "Mairia" (no fadas)?
Sources with fadas:
Sources without fadas:
Cahill herself:
  • Cahill uses "Máiría" (with fadas) on Twitter, but "Mairia" (no fadas) on her blog. Her blog links to newspaper articles she's written, where she doesn't use fadas.[3] [4] [5] and many more.
Propose moving back to "Mairia Cahill". (ping Snappy). BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 19:14, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Additional source using fadas: the Oireachtas website membership list. Any thoughts, Snappy? BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 11:54, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's a mess. Different sources say different things, even the subject of the article uses fadas sometimes and sometimes she doesn't. So since Oireachtas members database use fadas, I go with that, as it is the official record. Snappy (talk) 18:19, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction

[edit]

I've added Irish and British news sources for allegations, awards for the BBC NI documentary, personal awards and on becoming a Labour candidate & Senator. I've also corrected the date for waiving anonymity, as a complainant of sexual abuse, from 2010 to 2014 when BBC NI documentary was broadcast, citing a BBC report. Is the Youtube reference to video of speech on receiving an award a valid source, or unsuitable? Wikopedian (talk) 19:17, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
