Only Amaal Mallik's songs are featured in both the official soundtrack album and the film. Rochak Kohli's composition is not there. Article cleanup issues

Continuing a discussion that originally began at User talk:Rajan51:

• The use of an album ratings table in the critical response section is obviously not MOS:FILM compatible. I say that it's obvious, because the table is to be used for albums, not for films. If the film community wanted such a table to be used in film articles, there would be a more appropriate template. I don't think we'd find any support for that table from the film community, and it should be cut.
• The Soundtrack section should be moved down. I'd probably move it to the bottom. Soundtracks are considered secondary content at MOS:FILM. The main topic is the film, how it performed, how it was received, not its soundtrack. The huge track listing also creates a major visual interruption of the text.
• We don't use {{INRConvert}} in the infobox anymore. There was a discussion about this at WT:ICTF. Some people felt that converting to US dollars is arbitrary. There were other concerns as well about problems created with inflation. A 2008 film that uses the template will have its 2008 rupees converted to 2016 US dollars. That's no good. And even if we were to use the inflation switches built into the template, the result is three lines of information in the infobox, which just clutters everything up. Anyhow, we don't use it any more.
• The Indian cinema task force seems to prefer the use of millions and billions over crore, because these words are more widely understood. I don't personally go out of my way to change these, because it seems like an uphill battle to me, but making a conscious effort to preserve crore isn't a strong community-based decision. I personally never object if a user changes crore to millions.
• Tonally I have serious problems with: "massive critical success". "Massive" is subjective hyperbole and has little, if any, place in an encyclopedia. We should present content from a neutral point of view, not as though we are in awe of the film's accomplishments. "The filmmakers organised massive promotions, which later helped the movie register good advance booking". Same complaint about "massive", and we're presenting an opinion about "good advance booking" as fact. I also notice that the phrasing appears verbatim here, which means that we're violating copyright. The content was added here by Josephlalrinhlua786
• Other tonal issues: "While the film garnered enthusiastic response from fans" is rather pointless. Fans always like the thing they're a fan of. It's circular. It's like saying "Chocolate lovers enjoyed the chocolate". Obviously. They're chocolate lovers. We also typically don't care about audience response unless it's analyzed scientifically, like by CinemaScore. We need to watch casual language like "wasn't" and "kid". Contractions should be avoided unless they're in quotes. Overall there is a lot of language that comes off as puffery. "Buoyed by excellent reviews". Seems fluffy. And whose specific voice are we citing when we summarize the entirety of critical response? We don't cherrypick good reviews and then summarize those cherrypicked reviews. Frankly, I see a lot of 3-star reviews in the album ratings table... It's unclear where the mostly-positive summary is coming from.
• We don't typically care about trailer releases or poster releases or celebrity television appearances or any other mundane marketing technique. See WP:TRAILER. Obviously actors are going to go on talk shows to promote the film. That mundane activity is not worth preserving in an encyclopedia. If they do something extraordinary, then perhaps.
• We don't typically include sections about errors in a film. That seems more appropriate for IMDb. However Trivia sections are permissible per MOS:FILM, so as long as they're sourced, it might be of some value to someone.
• Pull quotes ("Since 2003, Dhoni’s life has been chronicled in the media...") should only be used if the quote already appears in the article. See Template:Quote box. If the quote can't be incorporated into the article body, then it should be cut.
• Marketing costs should not be included in a film's budget. Budget = production budget.
• I don't see anything about satellite rights or other rights sales at MOS:FILM. We're not here to micro-analyze a film's finances. We're doing broad strokes. I don't think I've ever seen satellite rights content in articles for western films. I don't quite understand why this appears in Indian film articles. Seems like article padding. Please include that the movie was also shot in Jamshedpur and Keenan Stadium is the principle stadium in Dhoni's career. It was a key to his inclusion in the Indian Cricket Team and Dhoni's actual Home ground. This was depicted in the movie clearly. So, please include this part on the wiki page of this movie.

So, as suggested by Atlantic306, I would please this talk page to insert the following plot. Change X to Y where X = Plot Y = In the pre-credits sequence there is a scene of the 2011 Cricket World Cup Final. MS Dhoni, India's captain walks out to bat after Kohli's wicket.

The film begins in Ranchi, 7 July 1981. At the hospital maternity unit, Pan Singh (Anupam Kher) is confused whether he has got a girl or boy. He later names his baby boy Dhoni. Fourteen years later, Dhoni is spotted by a cricket coach (Rajesh Sharma) while goalkeeping in football game. He invites him to try out for the school cricket team as a wicketkeeper and selects him after being impressed. Dhoni's father is a pump operator who waters the practice ground. Dhoni improves his batting and becomes a regular member of the team.

Three years later, Dhoni (Sushant Singh Rajput) helps win an inter-school cricket match. After achieving much fame, Dhoni is selected for the Ranji Trophy but his draft notice is late due to which he is late in reaching Kolkata despite his friend's help. But Dhoni does not give up and to please his father, he joins the Kharagpur Station as a ticket collector. Years later, Dhoni's sister Jayanti (Bhumika Chawla) is married.

After sometime, Dhoni is depressed with his job. After the insistence of his manager, Dhoni decides to play cricket alongside his job. He attends his day-shift then goes to practice cricket. He participates in different tournaments and as a result he gets selected for the Railways team. After a good performance, he tries-out for the U-19 team selections. Bihar loses to Punjab where Yuvraj Singh scores 301 and Dhoni does not succeed though he is selected for the Duleep Trophy.

Dhoni leaves his job and admits to his father that cricket is his only ambition and he wants to become a professional cricketer. He works hard and is selected in the national team and makes his debut. He meets and befriends Priyanka Jha (Disha Patani), an office consultant. He scores a century after meeting her. She buys a watch for him as a Valentines' Day present but dies in a truck accident on her way. Dhoni again goes into depression and has bad form in the 2007 World Cup. He later wins the 2007 T-20 World Cup as a captain. He succeeds as a captain and India reaches the ranking of no.1 in test matches.

In 2010, Dhoni arrives at a hotel. Sakshi Rawat (Kiara Advani), a hotel official fails to recognize him and later apologizes to him to which Dhoni asks her for her autograph. They soon start dating and Dhoni eventually proposes marriage to her after she mentions buying him a Valentines' Day's gift which he refuses. They marry and Dhoni begins training for the 2011 World Cup. He eventually develops the team with new players.

The film returns back to the 2011 World Cup final where Dhoni eases the pressure with a crucial innings. With 4 runs required, Dhoni hits a six and India wins the final. His family, friends and coaches watching the match cry happy tears.

After the credits, the real Dhoni walks by the boundaries.
